Late last year we introduced another stunning label into our boutique, one that will quickly become your all-time favourite brand, LEO LIN! Cherry Red held an amazing Derby Day parade in November, hosted by Gooree Park, where we launched this unique brand. We had such a fabulous response to our collection that you will be pleased to hear we are expanding our range. Leo Lin is a gorgeous Sydney-based label that is all about strong feminine designs & superior craftsmanship. The brand is well known for designing pieces that speak to the soul & embraces the beauty of fashion with in-house prints & one-of-a-kind creations. In the current collection, ‘Botanica,’ Leo Lin has encompassed this year’s trending colours & styles, & has designed a story of wearable occasion-wear. We are introduced to the colours of Peach, Blush Pink, Canary Yellow, Powder Blue & Forest Green – all which happen to be on this years “trending” list!

One of the most enjoyable components of entering a new year is reshaping & redefining how you dress. This year it’s time to phase out throwaway, fast fashion in favour of acquiring high quality garments that will stand the test of time. You might be thinking ‘timeless’ items are boring basics, but we are here to help you choose pieces that are exciting & align with current fashion trends, while making sure you’re investing in a collection you’ll treasure & wear, again & again.
2024 is the year of colour featuring a combination of pastel hues & vibrant key colours. High on the list of trending shades you will find: Pistachio, Peach, Powder Blue, Bright Navy, Millennial Pink, Canary Yellow, & Forest Green. These trendy tones take many different forms with plenty of designers using these colours to create artful prints that are placed perfectly on to each garment. We will be seeing these tones in different variations with some being more popular in block/ monotone, while others are used to create iconic prints & colour combinations. We are looking forward to showcasing each of these colours in our upcoming Autumn collections.
We are also seeing something a little more “shimmery” on the ‘must-have’ list this year, & we are pleasantly surprised. Get ready to embrace the new popular girl – Metallics!!! Shimmering shades of gold, silver, bronze, gun-metal grey & rose gold are taking over our fashion favourites. Metallics have become a staple rather than a trend at this point, with shimmering silver & gold strongly featured on the runways for this year. We adore a bold metallic dress moment for the lady ready to take on this newly found staple. You can also add just a touch of metallic to your wardrobe through shoes & accessories for a more subtle approach, we have plenty of accessory options arriving to Cherry Red this year.
With all this mention of trending colours, if you are a lover of neutrals, we would like to assure that you have nothing to fear! Your essential, neutral pieces will still make perfect bases, & experimenting with a pastel palette will help elevate your wardrobe & embrace the subtle side of this year’s trending hues. Using shades like, white, black, chocolate, tan & beige, as ideal “building blocks” for our closet ensures we are creating a timeless rotation of outfits.
The year of 2024 is predicted to be full of sophisticated & fun styling, with designers finding the balance between statement & wearability. We are thrilled to see more mini length options coming through this year, alongside high-waisted trouser pants & floral printed silhouettes.
The ‘Simple Chic’ style is on the rise again, & suit sets, midi skirts, collared shirting, & high-quality denim pieces make the perfect items to incorporate this style into your wardrobe rotation. We’ll be wearing modern business attire into the workplace, with corporate styling making a strong appearance in 2024. Suit sets in all colours & styles are flooding the trend list, & we couldn’t be happier! We’ll take our tailored suit sets worn with block heels to work, & our oversized blazers out for lunch & dinner, completing our look with a mini dress & statement heels. Keep an eye on our new arrivals, you’ll soon start to see blazer sets from Esmaee, Mossman, Elliatt & Verge.
Coming into the last month of Summer, it is the ideal time to begin the flip to a transeasonal wardrobe.
Introducing light-weight blouse options that can be styled easily with tailored shorts now & with denim jeans later. We’ll be styling our lovely summer midi skirts with chunky knitwear & ankle boots, adding a mid-length coat for extra warmth! Giving our shirt & short summer sets a break (which have been worn literally all summer long) & embrace the shirt & pant printed sets, adding just a little extra coverage for when it starts to cool down. Our beloved mini dresses, once worn with sandals, will pair back with knee-high boots & fur jackets as the cooler months approach. Think about swapping tank tops out for luxurious cotton t-shirts, which will make the iconic ‘off-duty’ style when worn with relaxed denim jeans & sneakers.
As we slowly get closer to the start of March, our wonderful Camilla clothing collection introduces layering options like silk blazers, jersey leggings & fitted turtleneck styles. Camilla’s silk fabrications begin to change, with a heavier silk used for her Autumn stories, ensuring the Camilla lover can have her silk fix all year round! A few key elements that we have deemed essential to have for the upcoming season are sets (suit sets, shirt & pant sets, skirts & cropped jacket sets… literally just SETS), a capsule wardrobe that embraces the forest greens, powder blues, & blush pinks for the year, & good quality denim jeans. We’ll say it again, GOOD QUALITY DENIM JEANS! Our love for quality & comfort is at the forefront when picking our jeans for the season. The Outland Denim collection that will soon be dropping for autumn has just what we all want & need… Comfort, style & quality!
